Each door is designed and manufactured to meet your specific needs and made to fit your opening perfectly. A A Engineering have been manufacturing roller shutter doors for nearly ten years, with this wealth of experience you can expect a durable, functional well designed door. Our roller shutters can be manufactured for widths up to 8 metres and heights up to 7 metres as standard. CURTAINS Our roller shutter doors come as standard with a 20 gauge industry standard cold roller interlocking lath. This produces a very strong, hard wearing curtain. If required this lath can be plastisol coated to give many standard colours. If the colour you require is a little different we can get the whole door stove enamel powder coated to give a very attractive finish. All curtains over 4000 mm wide are equipped with wind locks as standard to prevent wind damage. BARREL ASSEMBLY All of our roller shutter doors have a spring assisted barrel assembly to counter balance the weight of the curtain housed in a steel tube, the size of this tube depends on the width of the door. The barrel has a solid steel gear used to drive the door fitted to it. DRIVE There are three main choices of drive for our roller shutter doors: 1.Self coiling push up for smaller doors up to 8 square metres or 2.8 metres high. 2. Geared chain hoist driving heavy duty steel gears with continuous hand chain for easy operation for doors up to 5 metres square. 3.Electric motor in either single or three phase to allow effortless opening. Our electric doors can be set up in various ways depending on how it will be used, we would design the door and operation to best suit you. LOCKING DEVICES We have various types of locks we can use, these include lockable chain keeps, ground locks, pin locks and central locks. When designing our doors security is forefront. WICKET DOORS If you only have one access into the building a wicket personal door can be fitted in the shutter to give easy access. These can be fitted to doors up to 5 metres wide.
